Welcome to The Spark Show! In this episode, I’ll be talking about how to create new habits that you’ll actually stick to. At the time of this recording, it’s the beginning of 2021 and I’m sure like everyone you’re excited for the new year and the possibilities it brings.
You’re probably thinking about goals and all the things you want to accomplish this year and the thing is, you’re going to have to really put in the work and take action if you want to achieve those goals.
Because if you’re like me, this has happened before. I’m sure. You’re super excited, you create a list of 10-20 goals and then you start off super strong and excited, and then after a week, month or quarter you struggle with the consistency and then it kinda just fizzles.
Don’t worry, it’s not just you. It’s everybody. I don’t know one person that did not have the experience of not achieving something that they...
Happy New Year and welcome to The Spark Show! In this episode, I’ll be talking about how to choose your 2021 word of the year. I’ll also be sharing my 2021 word of the year and how having a word of the year has contributed to my success.
First of all, I know you might be thinking - “2021 word of the year? What’s that? Do I really need to do that? There’s so much I want to accomplish this year! Why do I only pick one word?”
So, before we even get to choosing your word for the year, let’s talk about why you should have a word of the year.
First, I know in the beginning of the year, you’re excited. It’s a fresh start, you survived 2020 and now it’s that time where you’re feeling like you can accomplish anything. And, not to be a downer, but we all know that even though we have a strong start, it’s getting those things done that can be the real challenge.
Welcome to The Spark Show! In this episode, I’ll be talking about self-care: why it’s so important, why you shouldn’t believe what people are saying about it, and how you can practice it in your daily life to be the best version of yourself.
First of all, let’s talk about self-care. There is no right way to care for yourself. Only you know how to do that. Only you truly know what makes you feel good, how you feel most nurtured and supported. So, if you haven’t done this ever or in a while, I want you to make a list of things that make you feel good and cared for: physically, emotionally, and mentally.
Let’s talk about physical self-care first. This could be what you eat and put into your body, physical fitness and what you make your body do, and what you use on your body. Maybe it could be really simple like making sure you are hydrated every single day - yes, that’s self care. Or, it could be getting a fitness...
Welcome to The Spark Show! In this episode, I’ll be talking about how to stop being insecure. Because let’s face it, everyone has moments where they feel insecure and I wanna talk about where that actually comes from, how to be aware of it, and how to overcome it.
I believe that everything in this world comes from two things, either fear or love. And, when we’re feeling insecure, we’re coming from a place of fear. It’s because we’re afraid of being judged, being rejected, being disliked by others. It’s a totally human thing. We can’t help it, it just happens. We’re born with a primal fear and sometimes it can take over us. Similar to a survival mechanism that gets triggered when we’re in danger, it’s the same kind of fear that can take over when we put ourselves in situations of being judged. Our brain and body sometimes doesn’t know the difference, and that’s where the mind comes in.
It is only with the...
Welcome to The Spark Show! In this episode, I talk about facing your fears as a new entrepreneur.
First of all, congratulations! There are many people who won’t even take this step because let’s be honest, it’s a big one. It’s a scary one! And, it’s definitely not for everyone.
The first fear is something that, of course, everyone is discouraged into going into entrepreneurship, because it is the unknown, and there is a fear of the unknown. It is not like your job where you go in, you do whatever they tell you to do, and every two weeks you get a paycheck.
The thing with entrepreneurship is you don't know when your paycheck is coming. So, you also don't know how long it's gonna take to get to the goals that you want to get to. Of course, that's scary to do that. And, as an entrepreneur who has been doing this for many, many years now, I've realized that I just need to be...
Welcome to The Spark Show! In this episode, I’ll be talking about how to say NO and feel good about it. Some of you may have trouble with saying no because you’re a people-pleaser. If this stings a little or you’re nodding your head right now - it’s okay. We all have people-pleasing tendencies. The first step, as with anything, is to be aware.
The first thing that I wanna talk about with this topic is really asking yourself one question that will help guide your decisions - “What do I want?” This is a question that seems so basic and simple yet most people can’t answer this question right now.
When you’re clear on what you want, it’s easy to make decisions because all decisions will be informed based on what you truly want. In Episode 12, I talk about getting clear on your big vision. If you haven’t listened to that or it’s been a while - make sure you spend some time to do that.
Welcome to The Spark Show! In this episode, I’m going over why I don’t let people pick my brain and why you shouldn’t either. A lot of this has to actually do with boundaries and self-worth, which can truly impact your livelihood and your business.
First of all, let’s talk about when people say “pick your brain” - kinda sounds gross, right? It reminds me of “pick your nose” which you really don’t do or you wouldn’t ask people if you can do that for them, right? Ew. Anyways, let’s talk about what this really is.
When people say “pick your brain,” it means that they want to ask you questions and get answers. They want to tap into your expertise, into something you’ve probably been doing for a long time and taking years, even decades, studying, testing, and implementing on your own. And now, people pay you to do that through your job, they...
Welcome to The Spark Show! In this episode, I’ll be talking about how to deal with negativity online and offline, because we’ve all heard of it, some of us have experienced it, and some of us have learned to overcome it.
I wanted to talk about negativity because it comes in all forms and the first thing I wanted to talk about is the word “influencer.” Unfortunately, sometimes it comes with a negative connotation. But, like everything, there is always good and bad. Not all doctors are good, not all teachers are good. Not all influencers are bad and are all about themselves, taking selfies.
I believe that there are influencers out there who want to make an impact. I only work with students who care about making a difference and creating positive change. Let’s face it - content creation and audience growth is a lot of work, so, if you’re just doing it for free stuff or for fame, you’re probably going to quit soon.
Most of the people you see...
Welcome to The Spark Show! I’m so excited because we made it to episode 100 of The Spark Show! I remember the very first episode, which went out in June of 2019, and it’s been over a year since then and I’m so happy with all the feedback we’re getting from my students and community of how much this podcast has helped them get into the right mindset, get started in their influencer business, grow their audience, monetize with brand deals and even launch their digital offer.
Let me tell you, starting something is always challenging and staying consistent is even more challenging, so if you’re asking yourself if you want to start creating content or be more consistent - I wanna share with you some lessons that I’ve learned. And, the awesome thing about this episode is I’ve asked some of my friends who are influencers to share some life lessons with you, so this is a group episode! First, I’ll be sharing three of my lessons that...
Welcome to The Spark Show! In this episode, you'll learn about Instagram giveaways including how to plan, execute and amplify this growth strategy.
First of all, what’s a giveaway? It’s when you are giving away something in exchange for something, like a contest you can enter. Someone can enter the giveaway by performing certain actions such as a like, comment, or follow and they then have the chance to win a prize.
I get a lot of my students asking how to do a giveaway and it’s actually very simple. You post a giveaway, you give them the rules on how to enter and when it ends, you choose a winner, and that’s it. That’s the main concept. Now, there are other things you can do to make it more strategic and successful and that’s what I’ll be going over.
Let’s talk about the plan. I don’t want you to execute without a plan.
The first thing I want you to consider is: What are you giving away?...
